The City of Randolph would like to make sure all residents, businesses, and agriculture operations are aware of the EnergyWise program run by the Nebraska Public Power District. This program provides incentives for energy efficiency, lighting, power saving, and other projects. These projects are summarized below.
Residents
- Proper insulation of your home’s attic
- Tuning up your cooling system
- Installation of a high efficiency heat pump for your HVAC system
- Installation of a heat pump water heater
- Installation of an induction stovetop
- Installation of a smart thermostat
- Installation of an electric vehicle charging station
- Purchase of electric lawn and garden equipment, such as a lawn mower, chainsaw, pruner, etc.

Businesses
- Updating lighting to LEDs
- Installing qualifying HVAC systems or optimizing existing systems
- Installation of variable frequency drives
- Installation of a heat pump water heater
- Any other energy-saving project in an industrial plant (requires pre-approval)

Agriculture
- Updating outlet components on an all-electric irrigation system
- Installing a moisture sensor incorporated with an irrigation program or software
- Installation of a variable frequency drive on your pivot
- Automation of your grain aeration system
- Installing an automatic heat mat for your hogs
- Testing your irrigation pump
- Any other possible energy saving project (requires pre-approval)
